The 23-year-old from Borussia Dortmund has been considered a candidate for several days, as has Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho, among others. Today, things seem to be becoming more concrete.

According to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, discussions between the clubs over a winter transfer have started. The southern Italians have even announced that they have an offer in the drawer and that they would like to present it quickly if an agreement is reached with Adeyemi. A sum of between 45 and 50 million euros is under discussion.

It is currently unclear whether Adeyemi himself can imagine moving to Serie A. The four-time national player is tied to the black and yellows until 2027. Due to a muscle tear, the left-hander has only been on the field in 13 matches this season, scoring five goals and five assists. BVB are currently looking for a successor to coach Nuri Şahin, who was fired on Thursday – a move that could well impact Adeyemi’s future.
