OL at the top of a European ranking, rare enough to be highlighted.
In its latest weekly letter, the (Site notre blog d’information) Observatory (CIES) took an interest in the playing time granted by the clubs of the five major European championships to the players they train (at least three years spent at the club between 15e and the 21e birthday). As often in the rankings related to training, Lyon is very well placed. With 52.1% of the total playing time granted to their « local » players, OL are in second place in the standings and are beaten only by Athletic Bilbao (56.5%) and their traditional policy. sports baseball. A good performance, even if the poor results of the Lyon club temper the enthusiasm around the young Gones.

Montpellier (39.6%) and Toulouse (29.4%) are the other well-ranked French clubs, with pretty four and seven places. Among the bad students in this ranking, we find in particular Reims (1.7%), Troyes (0.3%) or Nice (0.1%). Worse, Marseille is one of the 11 clubs in Europe’s top 5 which have not given playing time at all to the players they have trained this season.
OM are third in Ligue 1, Lyon ninth. Let’s hope for the young Rhodanians that OL sees no correlation…
