SpVgg Greuther Fürth has found a new coach. Former Dortmund and Mainz coach Jan Siewert succeeds Leonhard Haas, who himself only worked as an interim solution at Kleeblatt. The club had previously parted ways with Alexander Zorniger. After the departure of sports director Rachid Azzouzi, former professional Stephan Fürstner took over the vacant position.

Fürstner explained: “I am sure that we will remain united within the club, even in this currently difficult situation. We have a lot of expertise at Cloverleaf and I am convinced that if we distribute responsibilities between different shoulders, for example in the area of scouting and team planning or in close integration with the youth performance center, we will be able to develop our full potential. »
Fürth in crisis: Haas was actually supposed to stay until winter
After the 4-0 debacle in the derby against 1. FC Nürnberg, the Fürth team released coach Zorniger and sporting director Azzouzi more than three weeks ago. Haas then took over as interim coach and Fürstner as interim sporting director.
