Season probably over
Chelsea are set to be without striker Armando Broja for the rest of the season. As announced by the Blues, the 21-year-old Albanian international has torn his anterior cruciate ligament and needs surgery. In most cases, the downtime for this injury is around six months.
Broja comes from Chelsea youth and was promoted to the professional team after a solid year on loan at Southampton FC. He has one goal and one assist in 18 games this season. Most recently, Broja increased his market value to €30m. Alongside Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (33), he is the only « nine » trained in the Blues squad.
Highest transfer spend in a summer: Only Real ahead of Chelsea
Keep your head up and recover well, Armando.
