Forming Lens, Budzynski said he had a career in 1958 and played 85 matches. In 1963, the defense joined Nantes, where he would become a reference in the French championship and won two titles in 1965 and 1966. Author of 199 matches under the colors of the Canaries, he was also selected 11 times under the jersey of the team of France. He retired in 1969, then became sports director on the banks of the Erdre until 2005. Under his leadership, Nantes won six French championship titles (1973, 1977, 1980, 1983, 1995, 2001) and 3 French Cups (1979, 1999 and 2000).
