For Lennard Maloney, who has fallen behind at 1. FC Heidenheim, there seems to be another option on the transfer market. According to “Sky”, the 25-year-old defender received a written offer from 1. FSV Mainz 05 for a free transfer this summer. A commitment this winter is also possible and is becoming more and more likely, because the FCH would then receive transfer compensation for American national players.

Maloney has recently been linked with Birmingham City and PAOK Thessaloniki. The “Kicker” also reported that FC Augsburg was interested – for next season. Current favorites for extra are zero-fives. However, no negotiations have yet taken place between the clubs.
