A place for foreigners becomes available

In 2017, Talisca was the first to be voted professional of the season in the Süper Lig by the TM community. Six and a half years after his departure from Besiktas in 2018, he is preparing to return to Istanbul, but to his city rivals. According to consistent media reports, only the formalities remain to be clarified before Fenerbahce borrows the 30-year-old offensive player from Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr FC.

According to journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, the clubs agreed to share Talisca’s salary for the rest of the season. We are also talking about a call option or a bond amounting to around 5 million euros. Fenerbahce vice-president Acun Ilıcalı also announced two new additions to Turkish television, presumably for defense. After 16 league matches under star coach José Mourinho, the Canaries are already eight points behind their main rival and championship leader Galatasaray.

Talisca left Guangzhou for Al-Nassr in 2021, where he is under contract until 2026. In 104 competitive matches, the Brazilian has scored 76 goals and ten assists, but so far he has been denied a title in Riyadh. If they leave, Al-Nassr could recruit another foreign professional in January.

As of this season, Saudi clubs are allowed to register ten international players with the association – the club has currently exhausted the limit. Media in the Arab country recently reported that the possible new signing could be Youssef En-Nesyri (27), who Fenerbahce only signed from Sevilla FC this summer.
