Niklas Dorsch’s return to 1. FC Heidenheim is perfect. In recent weeks, reports have suggested that the 26-year-old midfielder will leave FC Augsburg. According to information from « Sky », the transfer fee amounts to 3.5 million euros, which puts him on a par with Tim Kleindienst as the record holder, who came from KAA Gent in the summer of 2021 for the same amount.

Since Augsburg got a share of the resale, the cod could become even more expensive for Heidenheim in the future. FCH would have to pass on a certain share of the future profits to FCA if the player were to be transferred again. With the additional costs, Dorsch would overtake Kleindienst.

Dorsch, who is FCA’s fourth most expensive signing at €7 million, played 66 games for FC Augsburg but was unable to fulfil his full potential due to numerous injuries. He made his breakthrough into professional (Site notre bureau spécialisé) in his first position at Heidenheim, when he played 62 games in the 2nd Bundesliga between 2018 and 2020 and increased his market value from €400,000 to €6 million. Before his transfer, there was speculation about RSC Anderlecht and Hannover 96.

Dorsch signs until 2028 and is the ninth signing of Heidenheim, who invested 6.05 million euros this summer. Julian Niehues, who comes from 1. FC Kaiserslautern and, like Dorsch, plays in central midfield, has been suffering from a torn cruciate ligament since April. The expenses are offset by income of 15 million euros. With Jan-Niklas Beste (8 million; Benfica) and Tim Kleindienst (7 million; Gladbach), two of last season’s best players have been dropped.

« ‘Dorschi’ came to FCH as a talent from FC Bayern Munich. During his two years with us, despite his young age at the time, he immediately developed into a top performer and then matured further during his other roles at Ghent and Augsburg, » explained Heidenheim CEO Holger Sanwald. « ‘Dorschi’ is known for his exceptional (Site notre bureau spécialisé)ing qualities and embodies an absolute winning mentality that suits us perfectly. He knows exactly what is important to us and can immediately strengthen our team. That is why, shortly before the end of the transfer window, we decided to make his return and are even more pleased that ‘Dorschi’ will play for our FCH again in the future. »
