Eintracht Frankfurt awarded the next victory with a late goal. Coach Dino Topmöller’s team only managed a 2-2 (1-0) at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. The third in the table thus missed the fourth Bundesliga victory this year.

In front of 30,150 spectators in the sold-out Sinsheim Stadium, Hugo Ekititiké met by penalty (26th minute) and in the 71st minute against the substitution, weakening Kraichgauer, who had to replace, among others, the national goalkeeper Oliver Baumann. Joker Gift Orban (65th) and Adam Hlozek (90. + 5) each equalized.

Baumann’s representative Luca Philipp was with a special observation during his debut in the upper house: the 24-year-old had held on to the Würzburg kickers in the DFB Cup match, and he remained error-free against Eintracht. As a substitute goalkeeper on the bench, his younger brother Tim was odd. Captain Baumann is missing several weeks due to a tendon injury in his (Site notre bureau spécialisé) – a bitter failure for the Hoffenheimer, who is still in the relegation battle.

Eintracht started without their new striker Elye Wahi. The 22-year-old Frenchman joined from Olympique Marseille at the end of the week for 26 million euros. In the duel of the two participants in the Europa League – the strong harmony, the preliminary round on Thursday in Rome, weakening the TSG of the RSC Anderlecht put wildly. Andrej Kramaric headed over the goal on a counter-chance; Hlozek hit the crossbar after just six minutes.

The Frankfurters scored the first goal after a VAR decision: Kevin Akpoguma scored on the heel in the Ekititien area. Referee Sascha Stegemann looked at the scene on the screen again, then pointed to the point. Ekitiké himself started and turned into 1-0. TSG fans of course urged that the Frenchman was moved with the advertising gang directly in front of the southern curve.

Hoffenheim had ended a competitive nine-game winless run the previous weekend with the 3-1 at Kiel, but now ran behind, as they have so often done this season.

Again, Hlozek and Max Moerstedt could have compensated before the break when the Frankfurters just held on to their shots. Too harmless in the end – it took over the TSG game.

After the break, Eintracht tried to check the game, and it was generally rather stubborn. At the back, goalkeeper Kevin Trapp had to scrape the ball off the line past Anton Stach. After compensation by new replacement Signer Orban, Kramaric only managed the position. In the quick return, Ekitike scored his goal of the eleventh season. But Hlozek had TSG cheering in extra time.
