Despite a call from the maestro: Messi’s friend apparently does not want to go to Miami

Lionel Messi’s charisma and powers of persuasion probably didn’t help. His compatriot Marcos Rojo is currently not interested in moving to Inter Miami and would prefer to stay at Boca Juniors.

As reported by journalist Hernan Castillo of Continental 590 radio, Messi himself and Miami coach Tata Martino personally picked up the phone on Rojo’s behalf to convince their compatriot to make a change.

However, ‘TyC Sports’ recently wrote that the defender wants to fulfill his contract with Boca, which runs until the end of 2025. He also posted his New Year’s wishes in the Boca jersey on Instagram: « Another year together – May 2024 be much better for all of us. »

The new Major League Soccer season begins at the end of February. This time, Messi and Co. want to have a say in the MLS Championship playoffs. Reinforcements should be provided for this purpose.
