According to information from “Ruhr Nachrichten”, the Heidenheimers have contacted Lotka and have already made a first offer. His contract at Dortmund expires at the end of the season, so Lotka could benefit from a free transfer. The starters of the second team would have refused an extension to BVB; last chance for a transfer to Borussia.
In Heidenheim, Lotka would then be the first contender for the legacy of club icon Kevin Müller. The long-time regular goalkeeper – current FCH team record player – will celebrate his 34th birthday in March and could leave the club this summer. His working document is also only valid until the summer and Müller also has clear doubts about a longer future at Brenz. Even if he considered staying, as he pointed out earlier this month, he still dreams of working in England. There should be interest from the island. No further developments are known in the contract negotiations with the Heidenheimers.
BVB: Heidenheim wants Lotka immediately – “win-win situation”?
With the prospect that Lotka could possibly follow in Müller’s (Site notre bureau spécialisé)steps in the near future, TM user « jost224 » sees this possible move as a « win-win situation. » In the rumor he writes: “Kevin Müller is of course a blatant icon. But let’s be honest: if Heidenheim hadn’t had such a spark as a club, they would never have become Bundesliga goalkeepers. He is by no means a « weak » goalkeeper, but if he clearly does not appreciate his luck and refuses extensions: Lotka or Jonas Urbig (1. FC Köln, editor) are looking for a club and are certainly not worse. or less “talented” as a miller.
According to the report, the Heidenheimers are expressly pushing for an immediate move in the upcoming January transfer window, even though Lotka would be available for free this summer. Considering the market value of the Duisburg native, which he was able to maintain at 1.3 million euros this season, a transfer fee of several million would not be unrealistic, even if BVB does not have the best negotiating position with the expiration of the contract. They would have already prepared for this scenario, while Lotka himself had already sought a change last summer. However, the interested party at the time, Eintracht Braunschweig, did not get the Dortmund contract.
