Hugo Larsson has left the Swedish national team prematurely. According to SvFF, the Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder is suffering from a « minor » injury, which is why he will miss the Nations League match against Estonia on Sunday evening (8:45 p.m.). « Of course it’s sad. I would have liked to help the team, but unfortunately that’s not possible due to my injury. I am convinced that we will get three points like last Thursday, » the 20-year-old said in a statement.

Larsson will continue his rehabilitation with his club Frankfurt, it has been reported. Sweden celebrated a 3-1 away win against Azerbaijan at the start of the Nations League – Larsson was not used by national coach Jon Dahl Tomasson. According to reports, Larsson’s departure is in no way (only) due to physical reasons.
