Just a short report this week.
Another week and another match where we were involved in a game of two halves (I know all games have two halves but you know what I mean). This time things didn’t go our way. On yet another bumpy pitch, Park took the lead on 10 minutes when Carl took advantage of some slack Aldershot defending and slotted home from close in. Park had to endure some pressure in the first half but defended well with some last ditch defending and goalkeeping saves. The half finished on a low when Jamie, beaten by a wicked bump, fumbled the ball and it fell to the dangerous 9 who made no mistake from close range.
The second half was a whole different ball game, with Aldershot well and truly in the ascendancy. Park allowed them too much room and time and before they knew it, found themselves several goals in arrears. Despite having two goals disallowed, Aldershot continued strongly in the second half and ran out deserved 6-1 winners.
A very disappointing second half display, and a long drive home to reflect on what went wrong.
