Pre-Season Friendly - Raynes Park Vale 1 Worcester Park 0
The 1stXI squad played their first pre-season match of the season on Tuesday night against Raynes Park Vale of the Combined Counties Premier Division.
It was an excellent start with Park only going down to a fantastic right foot strike in the last third of a 3 x 30 minute match.
Three new faces made their first appearances and all performed well but special mention to Joe Cheeseman who controlled the midfield and Steve Winnen in goal who kept Vale at bay time and time again.
Corinthian Casuals are next on Saturday at 2pm also at Raynes Park Vale.
Would moving kids' football to a summer game help improve the development of young footballers?
Yes - better pitches mean a better chance to develop technique/skills
No - wouldn't make any real difference to development
Maybe - but I'd be worried about more injuries on firm pitches
